Alongside the Canal

The Secret Garden is situated alongside the Grand Union Canal and we know that there are many narrowboat owners who have been watching our progress with great interest over the last few years.  The main canal towpath runs on the other side of the canal and we hope that in the future we will be able to raise funds to construct a bridge to link us to the other bank.  It is difficult for larger boats to moor on the Secret Garden bank because of the large protruding roots of our mature horse chestnut trees.

We have  installed disabled-friendly fishing platforms along the bank and have encouraged the Milton Keynes Disabled Angling Society to bring their vehicles into the garden and make use of our facilities, as many of the local fishing sites are not easily accessible to the disabled.
