The Stone Spiral
Anglia Water was doing work in Wolverton to tackle flooding problems and they excavated these stones which one of our volunteers, John Brushe, believes are probably glacial in origin. They asked one of our members, Denise Ilett, if she knew of anyone who might have a use for them and our landscape architect Neil Higson said, 'Yes please!' The stones are arranged in a spiral and interplanted with variegated ivy. The Stone Spiral is located in the wild part of the garden and is already becoming a favourite with children as a magical spot to play in.
