“That
was one of the best afternoons of my life” was the comment of a satisfied
customer at the end of one of the first year’s summer concerts in the
Secret
Garden.
He’d just been listening to the John Pinkerton Quartet playing jazz, whilst he
sat and enjoyed a picnic with his friends under a cloudless sky in the garden’s
cherry orchard – and all for free! That
was in 2006 and in summer 2007 there were 3 more concerts.
Keep your eyes peeled for the details of the 2008 concerts. There will be one in June, July and August. Concerts are from
2.30pm to
5pm.
It’s a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Remember to bring chairs to
sit on and a picnic. Leave your car in Wolverton station car park.
There’s plenty of room for kids to play and invite Granny, she’d love to have
an afternoon out.
We
look forward to seeing you there – it could be one of the best afternoons in your
life…..
